Thursday: Breathing Better and On My Way

I am someone who truly believes in the use of medication when it is needed. I am a proponent of vaccination, and I think that there is no reason to suffer with allergies when chemistry exists that will help my body acclimate and decrease my suffering. There you go.

Now, I am also someone who needs time to get over allergy medication symptoms. Yesterday was the first day I went onto my over-the-counter medication for my allergies, and I had to stay home because Day 1 always includes extreme drowsiness and dizziness that keeps me from being safe when driving. So, I remained at home, slept all morning, and then was able to remain awake for the afternoon. I went back to sleep around 7:30 pm and woke again at 9pm, 12:57 am, and 3:15 am. I dozed in my bed until 4:40, and now I am here, writing this blog after showering and getting myself downstairs for the next dose of medication. My brain is awake, which it wasn't an hour ago, so I feel like I can make it to work without too much difficulty. I think I might wait until a bit later so I can take advantage of the rising sun and not have to drive in the complete darkness.

So, now that I have all my armor on to fight the evils of Bradford Pear trees, I will be on my way to work. It is time to get going on my end of the year stuff - graduation music, talent show sign-ups, the next two months of the country of the month stuff that I share with the school. I also have my daily administration tasks to complete - things like documentation, cleaning, instrument maintenance, etc. Today is a four group day with a meeting at the end of the day. This leaves plenty of time for activities, so I will work on the end of the year stuff.

When I get home, my room to focus on is my entertainment room. I am going to spend some time moving laundry from that room into the bedroom and setting up my new robot vacuum. After that, I will write a bit more on my administrative task chapter for my internship handbook. Dinner and family phone calls will take up the rest of the evening where I anticipate that I will go to sleep early due to my medication. I will set an alarm, but I will probably be awake before that alarm goes off. I turned it off before it went off this morning. I hate using an auditory alarm so setting one up guarantees that I will be awake significantly before it is scheduled.

There really isn't much more to say. Today is reserved for working, so off I will go, medicated and trying my best!
