Tuesday at Teachers Pay Teachers

Image
Welcome to our first Tuesday at Teachers Pay Teachers post! I hope that this is a resource that you have already started to explore because it does two things that I am passionate about - supporting fellow professionals and visual aid making!! If you haven't been on this site to get access to lots of digital files that you can adapt to music therapy resources, then there are a couple of things that you should know. First, you need to register to access the files. It's worth it. There are so many free files available (the first thing anyone with a store has to post is a free resource) that signing up for the entire site is worth it. Making Things is Fun

I've been spending some time making things lately...things like file folder activities and sing about mini editions of therapeutic music experiences (TMEs). I have been immersed in the world of digital flattening and clip art collections, so it's been pretty interesting to be making stuff in the midst of my everyday life. I already have some leprechaun files on my Teachers Pay Teachers store , but I am getting some March Madness files together, and I'll be spending some time thinking about some spring-themed TMEs and corresponding visuals.  Anyway... If you are interested in getting some TME ideas and some visuals to go along with them, check out my store . Everything is pretty inexpensive, but you...

Image
I took a two-day blogging break this weekend because I was doing something I love - The Online Conference for Music Therapy . If you've never heard of this experience, I am so sorry since I obviously haven't been speaking of it as often as I should be! This is a 24-hour, interactive and recorded, international conference of music therapists. It happens the first weekend in February and is attended from the convenience of my home. I get a chance to hear from lots of music therapists that I would never interact with otherwise, AND I can do it all from my couch! Have I mentioned that I love this conference? It has been almost 12 hours since the end of the conference. I am still recovering from another bout of the flu, so I begged off at 3:30 after my 12 hour shift. I am just now at a point where I am able to remember most of what I heard during the conference. It's time to start synthesizing. When I get to the end of this conference every year, I spend time thinking ...
