TME Tuesday: There's a Hole in the Bucket
Have you noticed that I've missed some days lately? I have, and I apologize for that as it is one of my goals to blog almost daily. Lately, though, I have been going through some professional issues and some illness-related things, so I have been less than faithful when it comes to writing. If you keep track of such things, I am posting this late because I am taking a sick day today which has turned into a water emergency/sick day along with mild fever and extreme klutziness!
In short, the pipe from the apartment above mine is leaking. Right now, this is just drips coming from the access hatch in the ceiling where the pipes burst about 8 years ago, but this apartment has a history of severe water emergencies, so I am keeping an eye on things until someone comes to fix me up. This, of course, happened AFTER I decided that I needed to take a sick day because of a general feeling of "ugh" and "poor me." I started to the computer to write a TME Tuesday post, but got very frustrated when I couldn't seem to write a sentence without having to backspace significantly and after tripping around the apartment. I went back to bed and slept for about 4 more hours before awakening to the drips in my bathroom.
So, in honor of all that's going on in my life at the moment, I am not going to share a traditional TME with you, but I am going to share a water-related video. It is by my favorite musicians - the Muppets!
If you are someone who works with kids, this is a great song for addressing sequencing, emotional regulation, and dramatic emphasis. If you work with others, you might use this as a "do you know" exercise - this song is a folk song, so many people have heard it before and may know it a bit differently from one another because it is a folk song. I find the differences fascinating.
Eventually I will get back into my daily schedule. I'm not exactly sure when that will be, but I will. I always do!
Happy Tuesday!!
