Saturday Something

Saturday!

I am more tired now than I have been lately. There is some sort of health situation that comes up every time I start to feel better, but I still have a week and a half before I go back to work. I hope that everything will be resolved by that point. Fatigue is my biggest downfall at the moment.

I am going to head to the local craft store for an Introduction to Art Journaling class today. I have to bring scissors and my "favorite adhesive." That makes me giggle a bit because I really don't have a "favorite adhesive," but my mother has left me a whole bunch of glue type substances to use. Her recent craft work happened to need specific types of glue, but she was unable to find the exact glues that she needed, so she bought all the glues while she was here for my recovery. She was unable to take them, so guess who has a box of different types of glues??

So, in a couple of hours, I will leave my house with some scissors and a variety of adhesives so I can figure out which one is my favorite. I think I will stick (nyuck!) to my glue tape, but who knows? I might find that something in the box will be the new favorite. You never know.

I like having this type of problem. Adhesives. It is nice to be thinking about how to stick things together instead of anything else.

This is part of my not work balance. Since I am not working for another 12 days, I am focusing on developing my goals for this next year. I want to find a good balance between fun and chores on my weekend days.

It's funny, but in my family, chores are done on weekends rather than on weekdays. We got into that pattern when we were kids, and now it persists. It is hard to think about doing chores during the work week even though it is completely appropriate to do those tasks at any time. For some reason, I can't really get myself behind the thought of cleaning the bathrooms on Tuesdays. If I did that, though, I could have more time on the weekends to engage in fun things. Oh, who am I kidding? I just don't do the chores on the weekends either.

I am going to do things differently this school year. I have a good start with the cleaning that I did to get ready for my visitors but there is still lots to do. I will start with the mess on my craft desk. That is something I can work on in the next 12 days.

Quest #1 set and started.

See you on Sunday.
