1200 - Not Bad After All These Years

It's the last day of school for the 2016-2017 school year, graduation went off without a hitch, and I slept in until 5:45 this morning, so this will be .
quick.

This is the 1,200th post I've written for this blog. I want to thank those of you who have written comments, subscribed, and been with me through the rants, the cat pictures, and the various and sundry random thoughts that pop into my head in the early morning writing times. Thank you for reading through the TME Tuesday posts, the Supplemental and Sing A Song Sunday posts, and the occasional Thoughtful Thursday posts (I seem to keep forgetting that it is Thursday when I am writing. Hmmm.)

Way, way back, when I started writing a blog, I was not expecting an audience. You can probably tell that if you start at post #1 and then read forward (I do NOT suggest that, by the way). The title grew out of my thoughts on three things - music, therapy, and me - specifically, my life as a music therapist. I continue to think about these things, often, so the blog will continue.

Thank you for reading this little blog. As I have become a more dedicated blogger for a music therapy audience, your comments, questions, and contacts have made me think more deeply about what to talk about, how to talk about it, and what I need to say as a therapist in the trenches. You, audience member, have made me a better therapist by letting me practice my elevator speeches, my theoretical stances, my absolutes, and my definitely nots.

The last, and most important thank yous have to go to my clients. While my clients are not directly the topic or subject of my daily blog posts, without them, I wouldn't be able to talk about the therapy part of my blog. Then, the blog would just be "music and me." I can feel the yawn starting already. My clients are my reason for doing what I do, and on this, the last day of school, I am doubly thankful for them and the joys, challenges, and fun they bring into my life.

It is time to venture out from behind the computer and go into the big world. Happy Friday, all!

And, thank you again!
