Website Wednesday
So, my sister likes Website Wednesday as a theme. I have done this in the past (check out the label for earlier posts), but it might just need to be something that I come back to. So, here it goes - the second attempt at this theme...
It's Wednesday which means it is time to feature a website. I am currently paying attention to all sorts of music education folks - their blogs, posts, and classroom reveals. For some reason, I really like classroom reveals. It probably has something to do with hearing about my sister's themes and not being around her for the big reveal. Anyway, one blogger that I am enjoying right now is Mrs. Stouffer. Her website, Mrs. Stouffer's Music Room, offers lots of blog posts about things that are not relevant to music therapists but as many that are, especially if you are a school-based therapist like me!
I am currently going through Mrs. Stouffer's Ultimate Book List. This is a resource that will be helpful for me this year as I try to make up TMEs to go with different children's books. The book list is arranged the way I like to arrange my own resources, so I enjoy diving into it. I may use it to get some books to go with my own cultural series.
While Mrs. Stouffer is not a music therapist, there are many things that music therapists like me can transfer into music therapy sessions, especially group sessions. This post, all about maintaining good habits, is right in my wheelhouse. There is something affirming about reading things that I do that other people do as well. Disconnection is important.
So, check out Mrs. Stouffer's Music Room today. Please note that I do not get any sort of financial or, really, any sort of benefit from sharing information and materials from the website of others when I write like this. The only time I get any sort of financial benefit is if you go to my TPT store and purchase something from my store.
Speaking of, it is time to start pushing my music therapy internship handbook chapters as folks start to go back to school. If you are someone who works with music therapy students, message me for details on the chapters that I have written.
