Fun Friday

It is Friday. I have been at work the entire week (score!!). I am getting ready for my plan/prep day with only one group this morning. The rest of the day will be devoted to cleaning and organizing. I remembered to put the dolly in the back of the car, so if I get enough cleaned and organized, I can bring that in to help me move things across the treatment room to the storage areas. I am going to put the large instruments in the leaky room and the storage things in the storage room which is now my ultra large office space!

I have done this before, but I have never had both of the office spaces to use in the past. I have had to cram things from both rooms into one room, but now I can spread out a little bit. The plan is to move things out of the office (I just have two large cabinets in there right now), clean and scrub the floor, place carpet squares on the floor, put the drum set up in the room, and then use the remaining space for the other large instruments that we do not use very often.

First, though, I have to get enough stuff off the floor of my storage space to be able to rearrange the stuff that is in there. I also have to move out some of the stuff - like the drum set and the extra drums that we will be using next week - but I want to wait to do that until after my group this morning. After we finish percussion week next week, I should be able to move things right into the new place. That's the plan, at least! We will see how my back and knees hold up.

I have some emotion task boxes to cut up and organize this morning - in between cleaning and organizing spates. I need to take some laminating sheets to work so I can finish that task with my new little laminator. I want to try some things as well using the new laminator. On the list it goes! 

I do not intend to see too many people in the music therapy room today other than the transition program who comes to vacuum and then comes for leisure time. I anticipate that I will not see anyone else for the remainder of the day. I am fine with that. I need the quiet and the ability to think without interruption. I also need to get lonely because that means that I will seek out people. I will finish the day with bus duty and then head home.

That's it. 

That's my idea of a fun Friday. I will take some food and a library book to help me relax through things that are not work-focused. Have some fun, too.
