Resetting the Brain, the Body, and the Spirit - Break Chronicles

I did not write this past week - mainly because I was on a vacation with family members and not inclined to spend much time sitting in front of the computer, but also because I spent lots of time driving and out of my usual schedule. Right now, I am waiting for a confirmation call or text from my family letting me know that they are home safe and sound. After I get that confirmation, I am going to go to sleep - again - in order to try to reset my body into my work routine.

Tomorrow, though, is the first day back for the rest of our Extended School Year session. Thirteen more days (12 with students) until the next break. I am not planning on doing anything out of my house for the last break of the summer - mainly because this break included traveling. I hope to finish up the music room and library resets that I have started in the last month, and I hope to start with the kitchen reset.

Tomorrow also starts the next contract year for us all. I have not been offered or shown my contract, so I have no idea what I can budget for this next year, but that should be happening pretty quickly. I know that there will be a couple of perks that have never happened before (including some hazard pay and more paid time off), but I am not sure what the bottom budget line is at this point.

Once I know that bottom line, I can start to figure out what I will do this school year as far as money is concerned. I have two projects that I need to get finished this summer/early autumn before winter sets in. I will have to budget those things into my autumn spending so I will know what expenditures to plan for in the next three months.

I am getting ready to look at progress on my quests in the past year. August and the start of the "regular" school year is usually my time to get inspired for the next cycle of my life. My thoughts about things I want to get done happen more freely during my last summer break than during winter break.

To get myself closer to my destination, I will be reviewing the things that Past-Me wanted to do in 2023-2024. After I look at those wide-eyed quests, I will see where I am in my journey. Will I continue along the same paths or abandon those byways for new destinations? Only time will tell.

I will try really hard to get back into my blogging routine tomorrow morning, but I will try to do so.

Family has finished traveling, so I am going back to bed to take a nap. See you tomorrow!!
