I Guess I Need to Learn How to Tell Time...

It seemed like a regular morning. I woke up with a blazing headache, pain in my back - still, and looked across the room at my clock. Quick glance to see what time it was. My light turns on now about 3:40am. I decided that I could sleep in a bit more - my medications are really messing with my level of exhaustion right now - so, I flipped over in an attempt to relieve my head pain and lapsed into a state of almost sleeping. I had a dream about my family and another one about the cemetery at my school and kept opening up my eyes to glance at the clock. I waited until I had about 40 minutes left before I had to leave, and then I used the bathroom and headed downstairs to get my allergy medications and to check my email and all that.

When I got to the bottom of the stairs, the clock on the wall stated that it was just 5am. Not the 6am I was expecting. I apparently cannot tell time on the clock that is in my room - this is not the first time this has happened to me with that particular clock. I am thinking that I should switch that clock to another one - one I can read a bit more easily in my half-awake, half-asleep, pain-riddled early morning states...

The bad thing is that I had two clocks sitting closer to me at all times, but they required that I turn things on and then focus my eyes on actually doing something. I find that I wake up when I turn on my tablet, so I decided to squint across the room instead of reaching for the electronics. I also do not like asking my home system for the time - I try to avoid using that system as much as possible. I don't know why, but I feel that asking these systems questions invites them to listen all the time.

I'm boring, but a bit scared of the information that can be heard in my house going to some sort of corporation. Too many sci-fi thoughts in my head.

I am glad that I have a bit more time than I thought I would have, but I am also still in the throes of lots of medication and some pain. I am craving salt and the texture of my favorite crackers, but my latest shipment hasn't shipped yet, so I am bereft of the texture I crave. Today is just ending up being a complaining type of day, I guess.

Oh well.

I am tired. I am getting ready to head out because it is finally time to get started. I think I will get some more grease for breakfast today. I will practice my time-telling as well. See you tomorrow after my late day of work and then more work and then different work...
